The iconic Christchurch Town Hall reopened to the public in February 2018 for the first time in 8 years. It has been strengthened to 100% of the new building standard and significantly refurbished. It looks stunning!
Trademark Paving is extremely proud to have worked on the hard landscaping aspects of the Town Hall project.
Our teams worked tirelessly with Hawkins, concurrently installing large format basalt steps, over 1000m² of external tiling and tile screed, and over 600m² of large format basalt pavers.
A special element of the work for the team was the delivery of an exposed aggregate mix that ran through the basalt paving we laid. Not only was the prep work for this technically difficult, but we had to work hard to create a mix that met the client's expectations based on the existing look.
